I sit here in my office listening to some great music. Music always takes me somewhere - usually a memory of a past event. Those past events that bring a smile to my face most certainly involve my girlfriends! Where would we be without our girlfriends.
Tomorrow I am taking a journey to the beach for four days with five other girlfriends. I am sure there will be a lot of laughter and shared stories over these next few days. I've had some personal struggles lately and this little trip away couldn't be more timely. I am looking forward to waking up that first morning and sitting out on the patio with a cup of hot coffee in my hands and the waves crashing onto shore just feet away from where I sit. Awww!
A few of these ladies I have been friends with for many years, and few not so long. I am looking forward to sharing old stories as well as hearing new ones. This trip is needed and will be cherished. I pray for a peaceful cohesiveness with a group of six women that have not all traveled together before.
I do know that music and laughter will be echoing through the night!
